Raynox or kenko for 60mm macro?

Right I have a canon efs 60mm macro and want a bit closer range.... So it was going to be the kenko tubes, but I have been told that around f.8 I might lose sight to focus as it will be too dark??

So would the raynox suit better and what ratio would this provide?

Kenko tubes have electrical contacts and the lens will only stop down when you press the shutter, so the viewfinder will not be dark. Because you are not placing any more glass in the path of the light, unlike the Raynox, this would be the best way to go.
Be aware that the distance between the end of your lens and the subject at full magnification will be very short with a 60mm and tubes. The Raynox will also shorten the working distance.

So kenko you would say?

I realised this and am ordering a ring light if I get the tubes, my only worr is I may over expose the image being that close?
 
Kenko is the way to go IMO.

Over exposing with the flash is a very real danger. Most macro shooters diffuse the flash in some way to get more even and natural looking light. Look here for examples of setups if you havn't seen it already.

How do you difuse a ring light though?
