Hi guys, I have a nikkor 105mm VR lens and an sb29s ringflash what has a screw in adapter to the filter thread, I was wondering if I could still possibly use a raynox with the ring flash on or not?

it might be possible but you'd need to use step up rings instead of the normal clip on mount? never tried it with mine so not 100% certain.

Raynox has a 49mm thread on the front, so in theory you could attach a ringflash with the appropriate adapter, but I'm not sure the Raynox's clip-on holder is up to holding anything heavier than a filter

Are you fitting it to a Nikon 105 macro? Doesn't that go close enough already? If not, extension tubes are the way to go for that, eg Kenko auto tubes £120.

yeah thats what i thought
