REALLY p**d of wasp!

I was out all day yesterday and when I got back I suddenly noticed this VERY large and VERY pee'd off wasp walking across my carpet.

Since all the windows were closed it must have been trapped indoors quite a time.

As soon as I got close it suddenly flew up and started flying around.

I managed to entice it onto the rim of an empty jam jar and got this shot before putting it outside:

Now the warm weather's here hoping to get some good shots with my recently acquired Canon 100mm Macro.

But I definitely prefer the wasps and bees outside!

Now, now, you guys that looks and sounds as it might have been a Queen, looking for a nesting site.
Had you killed it that would have reduced next years Queens and therefore nests by around a dozen,
and this years wasp population by several thousand.

How is a poor pestie supposed to make a living with that kind of attitude Huh?

Well it was certainly big - I was just having a cup of tea when I noticed it.
