Reasonably priced wide angle lens for D40

I've had a decent look around the net, but I would like some people's personal views from here!

What lens's would you recommend?

AF is a must really...

Has to be the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC HSM. But I guess it depends what you would term reasonable? Will cost in the region of £350-400 new. There's a thread running here:

Thanks for that, and yeh I would class that as pretty reasonable considering the ones I have been looking at have been around the £500-£600 mark.

Some of those images on that thread are wicked, I'll keep on looking but I might have just found my answer, ta

IIRC some of the early examples of the Sigma 10 - 20 lens suffered from some quality issues - something to bear in mind if you go second hand. I bought mine new from Kerso (through ebay, not this website) and have had no issues.
