recently ordered a canon 350d

and was wondering if anybody knew a cheap-ish place to buy a fish eye lens.
i love the effect,
any help will be appreciated.

I dont think there is such a thing as a cheap fisheye. CPB are listing the cheapest as the Canon EF 15mm f2.8 Fisheye at £549.99

Or the Sigma 10mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Diagonal Fisheye at 489.99 or the Sigma 4.5mm f/2.8 EX DC HSM Circular Fisheye at £559.99.

You are talking over £450 whichever you choose.

You can get the Samyang fisheye from ebay for £200. Manual aperture and focus though.

There is a selection of manual AF lenses you can get for around 200 or less. They, of course, do not match the Canon but are quite good for a start:
