Yes
i need a new set of rechargeable batteries as mine are now old and not really holding their charge any more.

i would like something that charges fast but isnt too costly as i need 12 AAA and 20 AA.

any suggestions?

IMHO, Sanyo Eneloops are very hard to beat, as they only lose 15% of their charge if left unused for a whole year!

The mAh ratings are VERY close to the advertised capacity (2000), so this says a lot about their quality.

They may cost a little more, but IMHO they're well worth it! :)

As for quickly chargeable, it generally isn't a good idea to charge any battery up rapidly, as it can fry the unit internally...

thanks for that, well there is rapidly and rapidly mine currently take over night - would be happy with a couple of hours :D

As suggested, LSD batteries such as Sanyo Eneloop and GP Recyko are the best option nowadys. Some standard NiMH batteries will give higher capacity (up to a realistic 2700MaH) but they will self discharge very quickly.

Both of the above mentioned batteries can be charged 1000 times. I use both within all of my equipment (remote controls, flash guns, rc cars, torches etc) and they have never let me down.

I just found this while looking to get some batteries

A decent price I think

Charger and Eneloops

£8.49 for 4 batteries and the charger

Cheers
