Rechargeable CR2 Batteries

I've been using GP rechargeable batteries (2700mAh AA and 1000mAh AAA batteries) for ages, and they're great, but they don't seem to do a rechargeable CR2.

I picked up some of the RF602 gear from FITP and the transmitter uses CR2s. Does anybody have any they use that they can recommend? or that they can suggest I avoid? :)
 
Take the battery out of the transmiter when packed away as the button can be depressed whilst in storage and drain the batt.

CR2's should last for yonks.
 
Uniross do or did CR2s, can't comment on the recharge speed/ capacity
 
I do take it out if I'm the one doing the packing up, but that's not always the case. Would like to get some rechargeables so it's less of a worry for those times.

Plus the wife also has one of those electronic cigarette jobbies, as she's trying to quit, that takes the CR2 batteries, so it wouldn't just be handy for this. :)
 
Think some people do 2xAA mods to replace the CR2s (I've seen some for ebay triggers before).
 
I've got a load from ebay via china, they work great and were cheap to boot :thumbs:

Delivery could be very slow, there are all sorts of new regulations now about shipping batteries - I had a shipment sit for a week in a UPS depot in HK whilst the corret clearance papers were obtained for the batteries in a batch of RF-602s.

You may also find they get seized at this end if they don't meet EU specs :shake:

That's probably why they're saying the descriptions are being modified :(

I bought a couple of sets last year for a high powered LED flashlight/MTB helmet light and they took about 5 days to come into stock and another week to get from HK, but if what you say is the case, then i'd certainly think twice over ordering them.
 
I'd rather buy some from a brand name available readily in the UK if there are any. If not, guess I'll just be stocking up on the Duracells. :)

It's to do with whether " batteries contain acceptable levels of mercury, cadmium or lead" - carriers such as UPS and FedEx won't accept products containing batteries until the sender has completed all the relevant forms.

Chances are you might get away with importing the odd one or two packs if they slip under the radar, but the ones DealExtreme are selling don't appear to have any of the legal markings that the likes of Duracell ones do, so that might cause a problem or two....
