I've printed a few prototype 2012 single-sided calendars on Tesco Finest Gloss (250gsm) also on Ilford Galerie smooth gloss (290gsm). However the result, whilst fantastic, is as expected, too expensive, heavy and difficult to write on.

So I'm looking for a cheap, lightweight, writeable alternative paper which won't look tattie.

Epson 2880 + Permajet Image Life ink.

After buying a Wire Binder a few months ago I started to experiment with

different papers. And another question you can add to your list is whether

the paper will curl. This was happening to me after maybe a week or so

after hanging the calendar. I shelved the idea until I had more time to

experiment. Needless to say I'd be interested in any reply you get.

One thing I did find was that the curling problem was not related to cost of paper.

I found some really really cheap stuff that did really well at not curling but the

online supplier stopped selling it.
