Recommend Head for my Manfrotto 190XPROB

Manfrotto 410 junior geared head.

"Ball heads are the work of the devil." I'm not the only one that thinks so and claim no originality for the utterance - but I agree with it.
I went for a 460MG head myself, very versatile, positive locking and light (Magnesium.)

I will agree with that and use a 460mg on my manfrotto 055B.
I have large and small ball heads but almost never use them.
The 460mg lets you set one axis at a time.

The 410 Junior geared head mentioned by Kev M is excellent but much heavier and very much costlier.

I also have a Nodal NinJa head for Pans.

How true, (and a sales plug!)... I have a 460 for sale in the classified (and only £35 + delivery!)

Note sure whether I'm allowed to plug or not, so mods - pleae remove if this is against the rules.

I recently bought a giottos ball MH1300 and the big plus is the friction adjustment. It has a level and with limited usage I am pleased with it. I use it with a telescope as well as camera and long lens, my previous head was a Manfrotto 701 RC2 which was great but for the first movement after loosening the head being tight. I do miss the handle that the giottos doesn't have. I've looked at the other suggestions and they seem to have a lot of handles to adjust with.

Cheaper than the manfrotto version, but takes heavier load.

I saw the Manfrotto Ball similar to the Kood at the Birdfair at over £200, then I saw the giottos which seems to be no less a head for half the price. I don't know the price of the Kood but the three mentioned seem very similar.
