Looking for something to protect my new baby without costing the earth. :)

Do you have a hood with your lens? That makes an important difference, because the hood is considerably wider than the lens.

Unsure of cost but I use a Canon LP1319 pouch. Fits perfectly, I think it comes with the 17-40mm L lens, so should be available separately.

Thanks, guys. No, I don't have a hood for it and I'm not sure I'll bother after noticing it's the most flare resistant lens I've ever used.

Umm...I had a 10-22mm Canon lens (don't ask why ) that came in a wee padded lens bag/case thingy, let me have a looksee if I still have it and if I do it's yours

Cheers, Graham. Much appreciated.:thankyou:

OK, that's relevant.

The standard pouch for this lens is the Canon LP1319, as Ceejay said. But that's designed to take the lens with hood - the "13" refers to the fact that it has a diameter of 13cm - and without a hood the lens will rattle around in it.

Without a hood, the dimensions of the lens are 90mm long and 83mm diameter. The Lowepro LC-1W which nickwatson suggested would be a much better fit. Or I would personally recommend the Matin 100 lens pouch - it's made of tough neoprene, it has a belt loop and a clip-thingy, and it's amazingly good value at £6.95 from Devon cameras.

(And if you don't want the pouch which Flash In The Pan has, perhaps he'd sell it to me...?)

If Flash can't find his that's a great alternative, thank you. :)
