Hi everyone,

I'm looking at getting a wireless shutter release for my 1000D. Been looking around and there so many to choose from, so I thought I'd ask on here for recommendations from people who own one. It'll mainly be used when my camera's on the tripod for landscape or wildlife shooting.

I don't need anything too high end, just a well made and reliable radio frequency wireless shutter release. In terms of range most I've seen offer 100 metres which is plenty.

I use the Plato as I don't need the flash capability. I like that it gives release confirmation, uses standard AAA batteries and you can get extra cables if you change camera.

Yep, that's them. Just make sure you order them with the right cable for your particular camera. Can be had as a pair with the correct cable a bit cheaper on eBay.
 
Thanks Vaughan, just ordered them from amazon. I've never had anything to do with ebay and probably never will. I know too many people who've had too many problems buying from ebay.

Thanks Jonathan, but the next thing on my shopping list is a speedlite so the flash release will be useful.
