recommendations for a good remote shutter release for a canon 7d

as above please want something for my 7d. tried searching for a canon one but no joy.

I bought a wireless remote from eBay a month or so ago works fine.

The official canon ones are shown on this page, no doubt 3rd parties make their equivalents, so you should be able to cross match. Cheapest is the RC-5 but I don't know if it will let you do bulb exposures.

I got one on amazon for £17 .. It's got a screen and allows you to set timers or lock shutter and let go of remote I'll find it!

7D has an IR port like some other Canons. I use the tiny little RC-1 (does everything) or RC-5 would be good alternatives to a cable. Some third party manufacturers also make IR releases with more range I think.

I got one of the yongnuo's (yn-126 I think or the 128) which is wireless & covers a range of upto 100m - not that I really fancy leaving my camera 100m's away

Comes in two parts - the remote itself and the reciever that attaches on the hot shoe with the lead going into the 10 pin port (Nikon camera)

Its got all the bits/bobs on it - bulb, single, multiple shots, timer.... Can be found on the likes of Amazon & Ebay for around the £15-£20 mark (if not cheaper)

I use ebay £20 timer shutters for my 5DII and 450D. Does exactly what it says on the tin.
