recommendations on buying a lens pls

Hello where is the best/chepest place to buy Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 L IS II the places ive looked are pretty much the same price... Any recommendations

Please excuse my ignorance, but what's the major disadvantage with buying a gray import ?

Presumably they're made in the same factory, is it just a warranty thing ?

Canon lenses have an International warranty so I'm told so grey imports as as good as UK sourced ones. You may want to double check that though.

I bought my 70-200mm MkII from Panamoz and saved about £500.

EDIT: Just done some digging and couldn't find any mention of it on the Canon website but that's probably because what I did find was a few forum references to Canon withdrawing their international warranty. They now offer just a UK warranty (in the UK).
