At work I have been asked to recommend a camcorder and P&S camera.
I know very little about either (but, hey, I have a fancy camera, so I must know about all cameras!!!!).

I work with adults with learning disabilities, so both items must be simple to use and bombproof, but still give decent quality results.

I have a budget of around £500 to get camera and camcorder + tripod, bag, memory cards etc.

Does anyone have any recommendations that won't break the bank please??
Any help would be gratefully received.

Cheers, Paul.

Anybody??????

I have Googled this, but would like to hear recommendations from anyone using the equipment.

Would you be allowed to get a camera and use the video as well as image taking? If you can then it may be worth looking at high end cameras or even a GF1. Stay away from the Panasonic LX5 if you are going to use it for video as well as it's shocking in bright light. If you need separate items then the LX5 is one of...if not the best P&S I had a Canon S90 and that produces superb images.
