A circular polariser that screws into the end of your lens will probably be cheapest. The Jessops ones are not too bad and worth a look at, obviously the Hoya pro etc are better, but then so is the price.
If you have a look on the end of your lens, I think it should tell you the filter size.

I'm not sure about Nikon kit lenses, but the Canon ones don't work well with CPL filters due to the end of the lens rotating when you focus, so something worth checking.
