Recommended places to buy Canon

I have been weighing up my options for a new camera and whilst I was toying with the idea of a 50d or a second hand 1d mkIII I have now decided to put my pennies into a new 7d.

Does anyone have any dealings with camera shops (either online or high street) other than JESSOPS. I have looked at Warehouse Express and they seem pretty good and local(ish) too but thought I would ask who you have used and prefer.

KERSO on this forum sells Canon gear. Also www.digitaldepot.co.uk (stuart) is a member on here too. Both do great deals for TP members.

Have you tried Norfolk Camera Centre - I've dealt with them in the past and were very helpfull - not sure price wise how they compare.

Jacobs are good as well and when I looked the other day, were the cheapest around (only by a couple of £'s)

Localish bricks & mortar shops - Warehouse Express or Norfolk Cameras in Dereham.

Jacobs doesn't have any branches in Norfolk.

Otherwise if you want to buy elsewhere, Kerso (US Imports), Digital-Rev (Hong Kong Imports)

Warehouse Express since it's local. I haven't been to the Norfolk Cameras shop in Dereham yet. Any time I'm in Norwich for the football I take a trip out to Warehouse Express and do quite a bit of damage to the bank balance.

You dropped on there then, they want £1249 for the body alone

I think DigitalRev are Hong Kong based and you could be subject to a hefty customs charge if they check it (which knowing my luck they would). Could be mistaken though.

I look for reputable rather than cheapest prices. Ffordes, Mifsud, Wilkinsons etc that have all been mentioned I'd deal with, or Kerso from on here. I like to look on here really or put a wanted ad up and see what people have second hand.
