Hi everyone

I hope this is the right section to post this - apologies if not!

I've just got back from several months in Indonesia and I'm keen to get my canon 550d and L-series 100 - 400mm lens serviced. I don't have any specific issues with them, though I think there may be some small specks on the sensor and the lens sometimes seems a bit sluggish when auto-focusing but I thought after 3 months in 80% humidity and reasonably heavy use it was probably worth the money to get them checked!

I was just wondering if anyone can recommend a good place to get this done somewhere near where I'm based (which is Twickenham, south west london).

Is it best to go straight to Canon themselves? or are there other service places which are good?

Another vote for Fixation-used them twice, efficient service and helpful staff.

Just checked out their site. They seem a bit more pricey than the canon one (found on the canon website - Canon (UK) RCC ) the canon one charge £80 for a service/sensor cleaning and then £60 for the lens, but if fixation are better then maybe it's worth the extra?

Has anyone used the Canon (UK) RCC place?

For both of these I'd have to post it probably as can't get in to Vauxhall to drop it off at the moment so that cost would be the same I guess.

another vote for fixation, not the cheapest maybe, but ace customer service
