Recycling old Camera Batteries

Hey guys, I got a "free" battery when I bought a battery grip a couple months and I assumed at the time of purchase it would be a dead battery that would only store about 5 minutes worth of battery life and I was correct! Anyway, I've already got two decent batteries but wouldn't mind a third. So can anyone recommend a place where I can recycle an old BP511-A battery with the hope of a discount in return for a new one? Can't find a site that specializes in camera battery recycling for DLSRs. Anyone had any luck with this? :)

we have a few dead uns we would like to recycle so if anyone does know anywhere:thumbs:

going back into the mists of time I have a Canon G2 that I accidently flattened and couldn`t get it to recharge. Now I can`t remember whether I managed to recharge it through the camera or the Canon charger.

You'll get nothing for them since it costs money to dispose of them. But they must be taken to a recycle bin in Currys or the local tip. Note that it is an offense to dispose of them via standard domestic waste.
