Red Bellied Black Snake

I spotted this lovely animal sunning itself at the base of a big River Red Gum and was able to get within less than 2 metres.

I like snakes but you're braver than me Mark. A very nice catch of one of our very venomous natives.

More foolhardy than Brave, Odille ... but the Red Bellied Black is actually not as venomous as most of our other species.
