One from the British Wildlife Centre. It's tighter in the frame than I normally work but I liked the intensity in this...

EOS-1DsII, EF 500 f/4L IS, tripod, gimbal

Thanks for looking

Paul

I don`t like the subject much...;)...., but you have captured it well.....(y)

Cracker of a shot, I have a few of her myself, she is very obliging.

Thanks all. Ade - sorry you don't like the subject Ade, I'm actually a bit of a fan of our indigenous canine.

In moderation,so am I Paul, everything* has a place in nature even Mr Reynard,

*except greys and mink.

Either way, it is a very good shot of the creature.

I really like the tight framing.
In fact Id have come down a little more on his back, almost to the ear tips, concentrates the focus even more on the predatory stare.
Jmo, on whats already a fabulous shot (y)

Cracking image. Great eye contact, I do agree with you about it being a little tight in the frame though.

If its a photography day you go in with the animals and the keepers feed them while you take pictures.

You got this really well. The crop adds so much to the photo.

A really nice shot Paul i like the framing i feel it works well. I have'nt been down there in years do they still allow you in enclosures on your own or are you supervised these days
Regards

Thats superb I would be really pleased with a shot like that:)

Another belting shot Paul (y)
You'll need to put it by for the time when submissions are being taken for the 2011 TP Calendar - For something like that I'd say the crop would need to be less tight, albeit it does work well when seen individually or as part of a portfolio.
