I'm not familiar with the latest Redsnapper tripods though I'm sure they're good value as usual. That head though, the RSH-12 ball, is quality and excellent value.

Manfrotto's classic 190 has been sold in numerous guises over the years and is a very safe bet - maybe a bit short for taller users. M'frotto 055 is basically the same, but bigger all round.
 
I don't know much about the redsnapper, but there is one going in the classifieds. I have a Manfrotto 055prob and cannot fault it.
