I just got one of these along with a RSF-284 (very good, only took 30 hrs or so from order to delivery)
Anyway... So I have a ball head, but no instructions, I'm guessing the controls are something like this?
Screw in base, then with the logo facing you, you have a big knob on the left that seems to adjust the friction of the ball, then a smaller knob on the right that locks off/loosens the ball to position.
The QR plate has another knob to loosen it & a push button to release it.
The bit I'm not exactly getting is the very small knob thats on the opposite side to the red snapper logo, and it looks like it must control the panning?
Even unscrewed the panning seems very slow & heavy? plus, you can only pan in one direction or you are unscrewing the head from the tripod??
I must be doing something wrong, can another 12 Ball head owner advise please.
