Very good pic, to get this close did you tempt them out with nuts or was he just not bothered? I've only been once and saw 11 squirrels or so but they all stayed well away!

I use hazelnuts to get them interested and this pose was as he was returning for more

Ok thanks for the info, hopefully get to go again this year. Was a great place to visit and not sure there's anywhere else down here to see red squirrels

Other than the Isle of Wight, Brownsea is the only place on the south coast. Best times to see them would be over the next 3 or 4 weeks and then again from mid September - they go very quiet during the summer

been shooting them regularly now for the past 3 years and have hundreds of shots - the difficulty now is getting new poses
