Red Squirrels In The Snow

A few images from a local area on the River Spey I frequently visit to watch Red Squirrels
and Raptors.
These were from the snowfall we had in March 2023 and I don't think I could have landed luckier with the light.

Shot with a Sony A7R4 and Sony A9 using the 200-600.

Great shots. Lots of them around here in the forests but my longest lens is 200mm so I have to sneak up on them.... The light and snow in your shots is fantastic. I always seem to catch them in a dark dank woodland scene (which is nice in it's own right) but doesn't pop as well as these.

Set up a little feeding area for them with a nice scene set up, you'll soon be able to tame them to coming in for food
getting closer and closer.
We have a few brave ones now that will take Hazlenuts straight from your hand.
