from that size, it appears focal point is on the body and not the head / face/ eyes???

what length did you use?

It certainly did! Indeed focal point was on base of neck (oops) used 500mm.

I think its lovely! The only thing for me is that the grass line is slightly wonky, I realise thats not your fault though. Love the eye contact too!

Thanks, i agree that i should have planned the composition prior to the shot as once he saw me he was off and i had little time to take the shot.
