Managed to get this Dier while on a visit to one of the Inner Hebridean Islands in a remote little lochan. Would liked to have snapped it at ground level but could't quite manage it

Nice photo but you wanna watch photographing schedule 1 birds in breeding season. Well worth looking at the legislation before you do.

Not really the point. A lot is down to interpritation as to what is classed as disturbing nesting/breeding birds. I'm no expert but I know a man who is. It's a quick way to lose your equipment if the Police get involved and believe me I know how slowly the justice system in Scotland works. Even if you eventually get it back, you could be without it for some time. Just be aware of the legislation and be careful is all I'm saying.
