Looked out of the window this morning and was surprised to see this, I've had the odd grey before but this is a first,

You have done well with shooting into the light on the first shot, the second one is very nice indeed just need to crop to remove the feeder on the right hand side of shot.

There wasn't much light to be honest, very dull morning I was lucky to get anything, thanks for your comments, I'll try a different crop .

Thanks,I was hoping it might be back this morning but no, must be migrating between one bit of forest to one further down the dale.

Absolutely love the second shot as it is, you might improve it with a different crop, but to me photography is all about the subject and you've caught that brilliantly. I love squirrels and shoot the grey ones regularly but I've never seen a red this far down. There does seem to be some evidence of the red making a comeback though, would love to get some of both in the same shot.
