Redsnapper RS283+RSH24 Head

I have just ordered myself one of these

Heard great stuff about them and will be buying one myself in the next couple of days (RS-324 & RSH-528) when they have them back in stock.

The legs are great and a snip at the price. I have the ball head so can't comment on the 3-way. Supports my D3 with 14-24/24-70 etc no problem although a little droop from the ball head when in portrait orientation. I think you'll be happy with it especially for the money

Ive got the 283 and the ball head. Im selling it though, as I just wasnt getting on with it. Wasnt stable enough for me and the ball head slips a lot, so I bought a Gitzo with a offest ball which a world of difference..
For the money its a decent buy though.

I use the RSH24 head on a 324 tripod - a very sturdy combination for camera and scope.
