Redsnapper RSM284 monopod fault

Hi,

have the Redsnapper RSM284 mononpod which has, unfortunately, developed a fault.

The bottom section will not stay locked in place and retreats into the monopod when I place any weight on it.

Any one any suggestions before I open it up and have a look?

Contact redsnapper and get them to fix it?
How old is it?

Even if it is outside of warranty - contact them anyway!

Contacted, but no reply, so think I'll take it apart at the weekend.

What, have to talk to another human, ahhhh!!!

To be honest, given the cost of the monopod, it wouldn't be worth my while posting it back, etc., so time to take it apart and see how it works
