I'm looking at getting a tripod, and have been speaking to RedSnapper to see what they recommend for my budget and requirements. My budget s around £70, and I want the tripod for indoor low light situations, night-time landscapes, light trails, and general use when a tripod is needed!

I have been recommended this tripod and head. I was wondering if anyone has a RedSnapper tripod, or has used one, so they can tell me a bit about them (are they good value?). I know very little about them and what I need to look out for with them but I have heard good things about RedSnapper so just needed some other opinions before I commit.

Redsnapper have a very good reputation on this forum, so I think you'll find plenty to recommend them.

So the question then comes to which particular model you buy and which head, i.e. 3 way or ball head.

Look at their special offers page, good combo's for less than £50, but remember to figure in postage cost.

If you are buying from red snapper, they do 10% discount for tp members (RED10 I think the code is), but this is not available on items on the special offers page.

I don't know the tripod that has been recommended, but I have the RedSnapper RS324 tripod and RSH 24 head and they an excellent combination.

I sold my Manfrotto 190XPROB to buy a redsnapper RS283 with the RSH-12 ball head and I have no complaints at all. Seems very well built and easy to use. Is heavy enough to be stable but not too heavy to carry and the bag it comes with is very usefull.
I think it came to just under £100 after the discount, which is pefectly reasonable IMO.
 
What sort of weight does the ballhead support? would it hold a 50d and sigma 70-200 2.8 at pretty much any angle?
