Refurbished Nikon

Hi everyone,

I am in the market for a d5000. I see that Amazon sell a refurbished vr kit with 6 months warranty for £400. Has anyone bought refurbished Nikon kit? Whist it obviously has the 6 month warranty, would it be eligible for the extra 12 months if registered within 30 days as per new kit?
