Has anyone else had problems registering with Canon professional services. I've been trying to register on and off for a week and once I get on the equipment registration page all I get is Please Wait. I've left it like this for over an hour at times and still nothing happens. I've also tried registering on my laptop on a different IP but still get the same. How can they help if you cant even register.

I updated my list with my latest purchases day before yesterday and it worked fine.

The only complaint about CPS is that in a year and a half of gold level membership I have only had one copy of their magazine. Anyone else with CPS had a printed mag since about March?

No, nothing on the magazines, but I do enjoy priority repairs to my kit.
The best service was when my 24-105 failed earlier this year. Due to the earthquakes/flooding in Japan, spares were in short supply so Canon lent me a replacement free of charge until mine was fixed.

It's all about their fast repair service. In fact it was one of the things that made me stick with Canon rather than go to Nikon. The mag is a bonus but I quite enjoyed reading the last (and only) copy I have received.

Great articles and info on the website though. In this digital age it's the way I most read things. It's one of the arguments I had with my tutor who wanted me to keep a physical scrapbook. I have a digital version as that's the way I mostly work.

I also popped into the CPU stand at the British grand prix as I'd got dirt on my sensor and they fixed it in no time at all. Great service. It's an interesting additional bonus.

I get emails from them quite frequently with interesting articles and news. I read the mag on the plane to Mallorca though so printed mags still have a place. :D

Is that the OCA course you are doing? I think I remember exchanging a few messages with you in a thread about OCA. How's it going with the course? I am still thinking about doing it for something to do now I am all but jobless.

Progressing slowly at the moment. Need to finish assignment 5, put together the course work ready for appraisal/marking in January. Spent 5 days in cornwall shooting a travel guide typre thing but wasn't happy with the final result, so am falling back to car shoot again, but my car has split a water hose, so need to get that fixed. Mostly done now, just need tracking shots and another couple of standout shots.

Good though. Went to a student study day to the hereford photography exhibition with other students and a couple of tutors. Seemed I was about the only one working and trying to do this. Really good day though and gave me lots of things to think about.

Overall I'm really enjoying the course. Just really need to be aware of putting the hours in.

Only one magazine here too.

Remember folks you'll need to re-register at the end of the year, it does not automatic carry on.

Just as a follow up, I decided to try registering on my laptop instead of my desktop and it worked straight away, so I'm now registered and looking forward to all my reading literature coming through LOL
