Following on from the other thread ( remember your first digital camera) and a great idea from AndyWest I thought I'd look out an old image. I cant find any from my Casio QV11, although I can still use the camera, I cant seem to download the images. I need a serial to usb connector and techy know how!
Anyway, I think my second camera was a Ricoh DC-3.

Heres an image taken on the Ricoh at Seaford Head overlooking Seaford town near Brighton on the Ricoh on 19th Sept 1998.

File size is 640 x 480, this is full size!

Can we upload images that we take now with the old cameras if we still have them? I can use mine as I found an old card reader that will read the card from the camera. I will post some images when I get home from a few years ago.

Dont see why not, might start a new" back to basic images " theme!
I will try to get images out of my Casio, but it doesnt look promising. I have a laptop somewhere with a serial port, problem is, the software is on a floppy disc and I dont have a floppy drive. Never mind, i must have the images saved somewhere.
It will be interesting to see the quality, we take high resolution and pin sharpness as the standard now, I remember when it was considered good if you could recognise yourself in a group shot!

This is the only one I could find, from my very first digital, a Fuji DX-10 (which I still have) and yes, it is a model of a hearse, complete with 1/43 scale coffin in the back :lol:

One from my Olympus Camedia C-820L - think I bought it in 1997 :thinking:



Shot was from 2002 iirc, not long before I upgraded to a Canon Ixus v3, which is still doing sterling work, though currently on loan to a mate... here's one from the Ixus too..

(boy, was that some Upgrade :lol:)
 
I posted this pic in the First digital camera thread, but I'll post it here again.

Taken in about 95 with a Casio QV10, at maximum size - 320 X 240.

It was my work's camera, there was no way I could afford what they cost new back then.

Took some pics from the garden yesterday with the old Finepix 2800Z as the sun was out...remember the sun!!

Quality wise i don't think they are too bad!

Sorry about the watermark, nowt i can do about that!
