Remote flashes

hey

right i have a sony dsc-f828 and i want a flash that i can either use as remote so that it goes off same time as the one on the camera or i can set camera to long exposure and set it off to light more than one place in the shot

can anyone help me?

Some of the Sigma flash units can function as an optical slave. That is, they go off when the camera flash goes off. Problems with this, however, are that the flashgun may well go off in reaction to the pre-flash emitted by the camera and that the output of the flashgun will be manually controlled.
