Hello!

I'm new to this forum, am a total beginner with remotes and after a bit of help... :)

I just bought a wireless remote control for my 450d and I can't get it to work. The transmitter and receiver are both working independantly - the receiver releases the shutter when I press the button, the transmitter is flashing. However, the receiver doesn't flash 'on' when I press the little power button which is maybe the prob. Am directing the transmitter at the front of the camera but nothing happens.

Just wondering if I'm doing something obviously wrong or if the unit is just not working. Have set transmitter and receiver on the same channel.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Have you got the channels selected? With my Pixel TW-282 you can set the transmitter to fire one or all receivers (if you have two or more), or none if the incorrect channel is set. But if there's no sign of life from the receiver, your first test should be a fresh battery...
