Remote release D7000

Hello all, I am looking for some advice on a release for my D7000, I up until recently used the Nikon IR remote but I seem to have misplaced it so I am in the market for a new one.

Can anyone recommend a product, wired or wireless that I can use with my camera mostly for astrophotography, I have no problem going back to the little IR unit but if there is something out there with more features I'd rather get that.

You could try an intervalometer remote. It allows you to set the number of shots, exposure time etc.

Failing that, there are both IR and wired normal remotes in the classifieds atm.

There's already a built in intervalometer in the camera. Stick with a generic IR or wired remote.

I bought this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Pixel-TW-28...8&qid=1385128595&sr=8-3&keywords=pixel+tw-282 for when I do light painting. I can be in a derelict building with a torch and still operate the shutter with the remote, it has a very good range. A bit pricey but very versatile and convenient.
