Hi all
I recently placed an order through Amason for a MC 30 remote shutter release for my Nikon D300, I recieved a remote in the post yesterday when I opened the box (which was labeled MC30) it was not the remote I ordered but a remote ST - 80N3 which is totaly different to the MC30. Also in the box were instructions for both remotes, I have looked on the tinternet for this remote but cannot find any info on it, any suggestions?

Yes thats the one but it does not have any writing on the front where Canon is on that one.

Yes it does fit, but I am not happy with it as it is not what I ordered.

Do you mean Amazon? Not Amason? If its the former then was it an item sold directly by them or just a company trading on there?
 
I would send them an e-mail explaining your not happy and why and see what there willing to do to rectify it.
 
Might be worth contacting Amazon too see if there is anything they can do to assist.
 
The equivalent to the Canon one referred to is the MC-36. Amazon do not currently appear to offer that one. All they show at the moment are various cheap aftermarket versions. The genuine Nikon MC-36 would cost about £80.00. I bought one, via Amazon, from a company called Purely Gadgets about 3 years ago.
 
Did you get any response from the trader about this?

Just for the record, if you do get messed about by a Marketplace trader on Amazon, you are entitled to a full refund including your postage (particularly if the product was misdescribed). The trader has the ability to send funds via your Amazon account to pay for return delivery and you should use a signed for service.

If you don't get anywhere with the trader then use Amazon's A to Z guarantee scheme. It can all be done online, is quick and is heavily weighted in favour of the customer (you)!
