I am looking for a inexpensive wireless remote shutter release for taking long exposures, macro, family photos. I am considering witless as I have a three year old and am worry it is something he could get hold of causing s very expensive accident! I have a Canon 60D. I would consider a wired one if they are more reasonable. Thank you.

Get a pair of Yongnuo RF-603's you may have to pay a few quid for the shutter release cable to go from the receiver to the port on the camera. They are good for about 100m and you can also use them to fire your flash off camera. They don't do "bulb" though so you cant use them for exposures longer than your standard camera settings.

Be better spending a couple more quid and getting a timer version.

For the same price you can get a proper timer remote release though. The canon remotes seem so expensive.

Thank u very much, which timer remote would u recommend?
