I bought a lens not too long ago, with a filter attached to it.

I've used the lens recently, and alot of my images are very soft....I thought it could be the filter, so in an attempt to remove the filter, i found that i couldnt! :shake::gag:

Am i right in assuming that the filter should just screw off?

I've tried this with some force, but dont want to force it too much and maybe damage the lens....

Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks

Vishal

Yeah should just screw off but they can be a pig, you can try a rubber bad on filter for better grip, a tool from B&Q that does drain pipes etc can work or failing that you can get a proper filter wrench.

Thanks for that paul, would not shift by hand only, had to get a proper grip with a dish cloth and it unscrewed nicely....was getting worried there for a bit! :(
