Removing distracting object

Hello TP Members,

I was on holiday and have this photo taken. Unfortunately there is a person in the background which almost everyone I showed the photo think is annoying. Now I tried my luck with Photoshop only to find out that my skills are not good enough to remove the person without having a strange spot there.
I tried the stamp and clone tool but it just doesn't look right.

Can someone help me with this task? This photo can be edited.

First off, lovely photo. That's a tricky one due to the wall etc behind him, i'll have a crack at it but if you hear nothing i've failed! Haha.

I've not taken his feet out but I don't think they're noticeable.

just cut good sections and pasted over, then masked as needed, to hide the edge, used clone stamp to mask out legs and feet

Wow...thanks everyone. That tells me I have to invest more time in PP. (or just take a cleaner photo) ^^
