Removing items from the i-mac

Silly question which I think I know. I want to remove some software from my i-mac. Example, I use NX2 all the time and not NX so NX can go. Is it simply a case of dragging it to the bin from my applications folder or is there something else I have to do?

no pretty much it, but you could delete all the preferences as well.
do file find search first.

You can do it that way pete, its that simple I also use an application called appdelete which does the same thing but for us paranoid ex windows users it never seem just right dragging it to the trash...

exactly, hence the question. Not deleted anything. Had the mac best part of a year now and groaning a bit so backing up all my TIFFS and clearing out the riff raff!
