Removing stubborn pollen/insect deposits from front element

i use a lenspen / sensor pen to clean my lenses (i actually find a sensor pen does a better job), but there are a couple of deposits that the lens pen takes some time to clear up - any other products out there that do a better job at removing sticky gunk?

Damp lens-tissue works for me...use a proprietary lens cleaning solution as well, even though a bit of spit and a t-shirt-corner works OK in the field...
