Renault Clio 172 Cup Shoot - Thoughts?

Hi everyone,
this is only my second post on here, looking for some constructive criticism on these images of my mates Clio Cup 172:

I like the close up detailed shots of the bodywork, but the two shots, the frist and last have cluttered background that spoil them slightly. Nice and sharp and the car is a lovely color, maybe a reshoot in the countryside ?

yes possibly in the summer perhaps. we shot these at a local multi storey car park because we could get it there in a 'clean' state, something which proves a little difficult at this time of year!

Good point Chris, we have had a drop of rain or two haven't we. Avery nice motor and that glossy paint will look awesome when the sun comes out.

yeah, the chap who owns it is a bit of an 'automotive detailing' fanatic!

My main issue is the cropping, it's all a bit too close, the overall car ones want about twice the space and not be smack bang in the middle, the one with the bullet in I'd rather the tyre wasn't cropped, same with the bottom of the bumper etc.

I'd also look at a polarising filter as reflections are spoiling it a bit too.

Yes, to be honest I've been looking at polarising filters for that exact purpose. Also, please remember that this was my first attempt at automotive photography, but thanks all the same. Always nice to hear comments and ideas from a third party! Cheers!

They're a really good set for a first try, I do like them just feel they need tweaking to get the most out of them
