Rent a lens!

[Steve W]

Hi,

I'm thinking of renting a lens before I buy to see if it is the right lens for me.

What do people think of this place, anyone had any experience with them??

Cheers

Use Lenses for Hire, they're quite simply superb.

[Steve W]

Yeah I looked at them as well, they seemed cheaper than CameRent.

Did you return the lens using their courier and was it easy to return the lens?

[mrbez]

It's in the FAQ mate.

You can return via them or via RMSD if I remember correctly.

Recent review in Digital Photo rated them overall as the best on test

Look for reviews on Camerent--i wouldnt touch them with a barge pole after reading some myself.

Yeah I read you could take them to a post office, but I think you have to pay the £10 for RMSD on top of the rent price paid for the lens. Or you can use a courier to collect them.

It seems like lensesforhire are the best. The only reason for looking at camerent is that they have lots of depots/shops where you can collect from and one is just down the road from where I live so I could just walk there to collect/return the lenses.

Steve,

I just rented a lens from Lenspimp and it all went very smoothly, got the lens next day well packaged with return sticker for the box. I can send it back by courier or RMSD.
