Can anybody recommend where might be a good place to have this done?
I have one which has cracked in the usual place near the black screw head, a common problem I believe. I might also consider a service and calibration with respect to a back focus issue it also has, if indeed this is possible.

Second fixation!!!!

What body are you on? D7000?
 
It's a D750.
I phoned them and got a decent estimate so thank you both for the recommendation.
Also learned that any adjustment for back focus will have to be done in camera on this lens. I started to do this and was very surprised to find that it was a long way out.
 
Ah I had a d7k that was way out and many others found same problem with same body but never heard on 750
