Guys,
I need to replace a brace of Canon A640 Powershot's as they are starting to show their age.
I purchased a new Canon SX130IS Powershot and the macro function was less than desirable!
The setup we have are Manfrotto arms that attach to the table with the camera mounted on them looking straight down to the desk. We use the cameras to photograph mobile phones including the memory cards and SIM cards (Hence why the massive optical zoom with macro function of the A640's was brilliant!)
My issue is that with the SX130IS is that it just will not focus at full zoom.
Does anyone know of a suitable camera for my needs? Budget is upto £200 per camera for the perfect item!
We don't need video features and take too many pictures each day to justify a DSLR as they would require servicing fairly often. To give you an idea I just checked the EXIF data on one of the A640's and we are nearly at 1.7 million exposures!
So, I welcome any advice on camera choice you guys have!
