replacement plastic cover on LCD on 5d2?

Hi,
Friend of mine has 5d2, and one of her sisters daughters smashed LCD cover...
LCD beneath it is still fine so thank you Canon for not putting LCD without a protector

Where I can get replacement cover ? I think it is possible to change it your self (?)

She wouldnt be bothered by this, but she wants to sell the Canon kit (and go Nikon )

but from where she can get new cover ?

Try www.hlehmann.co.uk They fit a new LCD for £30 or you can buy the part to fit yourself. I did my old 40D for around £10.

Since I discovered my 7d doesn't bounce to well, any idea of the cost of the LCD itself as well as the cover and possibly the top part of the chassis? I've sent an enquiry through Lehmanns any other suggestions as it's an import so doubt elstree will repair it.

I think the OP means the lcd ok,just the plastic cover busted,you can get a cover that goes over it that sticks in place here........

Have you contacted Canon Elstree to see if they offer the part for sale ??

Had a quote back from AJ Johnstone so far £178+vat for the LCD replacement as it's part of the top chassis apparently and to get the mode wheel mod done as well is £232+vat with a 5-7 day turnaround. See what the others come back.
