my daughter's fuji finepix zoom and focussing seem to have gone up the creek, its a 10x zoom model...around 3-4 years old..
she fancies a 20x zoom and the usual facility to take video
she has SD cards 32Gb so i ask on her behalf

can the forumites here recommend a good model she could buy to replace the fuji?

it has to be a point and shoot model with simple flash and as outlined above a 20x zoom

i could google to my hearts content but rely on users here to help out

i have 2 lumix cameras and i would have suggested lumix for her but thought they were too expensive

Sony HX20 is also worth looking at if a Panasonic TZ25/TZ30 etc.doesn't suit.

Just noticed the Lumix TZ25 has also been reduced in price at Argos, whilst it is only a 16x zoom, the price is even cheaper at £116.99 and there is a lot more stock.

Their new catalogue started today, and it looks like the TZ30 has been removed from the catalogue. It might be worth ringing them and asking to check branch stock as a number of branches still had stock when I posted.

I checked using http://www.icheckstock.co.uk/

The TZ25 is still in stock at most branches.
