-For anyone who read my previous thread, an update that may or may not interest you-

My image has been used on several occasions now, including the TimeOut website. I have gotten 3 free tickets for the exhibition where my image is featured, and also tickets for Monument too. It is also featured on the Tower Bridge website where a finance company have found it in search of a image to feature on Christmas Cards.

They are very interested in my image and are happy to negotiate a cash sum for the rights to use it, so after all the banter in my previous post, I am after all profiting from my decisions.

The woman who has kept in contact with me from the previous occasion has suggested I start at £100 and negotiate if they are not happy.

Thoughts ? And lets resist the urge for foul comments/arguments please and thank you.

Brandon, it matter little what anyone on here says at to what you should sell it for, tell them a price that you are happy to sell/licence it for, they can accept that or negotiate  then it's up to you where you go from there

Congratulations on the interest

Well done! Was this the advent calander image?

Thank you !

And yes, it's the same image as the Advent Calendar !
Which I may have to keep a copy of, as in theory, it's begun a small career for me.

I've already had more interest as a result of the first request, and this company who wants it now said they are also interested to see any more photos I have of bridges in general as their motto is "Bridging the gap between marketing and finance".

So lets hope this all carries on having a domino effect !

I am so glad that I'm not a professional photographer. £100 for a photograph that is wanted by a business is not really enough in my opinion.

They only wanted it to be used as an e-card they were sending to their associates and were not in any direct way profiting from it's use.

I actually only asked for £50 as a result of that, and before you say anything. When compared to a similar photo on www.alamy.com, and selecting similar options for how it's going to be used, alamy came up with £60. Which in my opinion, I think is fair to say a decent price!
