I cannot stop the reset on my D80 from going from FINE to NORMAL. Been in the menu and set it to FINE but still on reset it goes to NORMAL quality. Also happens to AF, I want it to stay as AF-C.
 
Pretty sure that Normal is the default setting on most Nikons and that the 2 button reset resets all the custoim functions to their default settings, so there's probably no easy way round the nuisance.

By doing a reset you are asking the camera to reset itself to the factory defaults - which it is doing. Why do you feel the need to reset?
 
Thanks for your replys I was hopeing that when i press the two green dotted buttons I would go back to my custom settings, doesnt seem to be the case unless somebody knows different.

We live in hopes...:lol:
 
The idea of the reset is to get the camera back to the way it shipped. Normal is the default setting, as far as I'm aware that can't be changed by the user as part of the reset process.
You shouldn't have to use reset unless your trying to get the camera back to the default settings.
